During 2009, tourist activities also developed in the ports of nautical
tourism (marinas) in Montenegro and a great increase in the traffic of
vessels and passengers was realised.
The Ministry of Tourism reported that there 2,807 vessels for
entertainment and sport, i.e. yachts, arrived, which is 7.6 percent
more than during the previous year. The number of tourists on them was
11,078 or 3.72 percent more than the previous year. Most yachts arrived
from the USA, then from Croatia, Italy, Great Britain, Austria,
Germany, France, Slovenia, etc. Yachts stayed in the Montenegrin ports
for an average of 7 days. Also, 268 foreign cruisers arrived to
Montenegrin ports.
