The argument that potential guests
will choose Montenegro this year is the price, but also wide range of
recreational programs, as well as a sense of security and safety during
the holidays, stated the director of the National tourist organisation
Sasa Radovic.
Radovic, in his conversation with tour operators in Serbia and
interested media representatives during the fair, IFT 2010 in Belgrade,
said
that the abolition of visas for Serbian citizens to the country's
Schengen zone, and the current economic situation will be an additional
challenge to make more efforts to animate an extremely
important market for Montenegro.
"Montenegro will show that this year is
ready to hold the position of favourite tourist destinations for the
citizens of Serbia," said Radovic.
He recalled that last year
Montenegro visited around 350 thousand registered tourists from
Serbia, and estimates that it is still so much stayed in their
apartments, holiday homes, with relatives and friends.
On the
first day of the fair, as stated National Tourist Organisation, the greatest interest existed for
the price policy during the summer season, with emphasis on air tickets.
Private accommodation and family-run
hotels were in the centre of interest of partners from Serbia, because they
estimate that the deliberate price policy, this segment can make a
significant increase in the total tourist traffic. Discussed the
possibilities of easier and cheaper availability of Montenegro's rail
and bus transportation, according to a press release.
From NOT was stated that the fair today was special as well as for the
first aeroplane flight at newly set line of Montenegro airlines,
between Nis (Serbia) and Podgorica (Montenegro).
It will have extra incentive for the arrival of tourists from the
region where lives approximately two million people.
Tourism Fair in
Belgrade this year brought together some 800 exhibitors from 41
countries and is expected to be over 50 thousands of visitors.
