In the Ministry of Tourism and in National Tourism
Organization satisfied: It is announced yesterday from the Ministry of
Tourism that there are between 380.000 and 400.000 of registered
visitors in Montenegro and by the end of August the millionth visitor
in this year will be registered.” There are more visitors this year
than in the same period in previous years. The season develops in
accordance with our expectations. Water supplying was regular this
summer in all tourism municipalities, and we expect the completion of
works on regional water supply system. No more praying for rain since
there will be enough water”- Predrag Nenezic, the Minister of Tourism,
said.
Podgorica-“Budva, Herceg Novi and
Ulcinj are the most visited cities on the coast of Montenegro which is
the result of individual preparations of each municipality for the
season and better strategic approach, as well”- Predrag Nenezic, the
Minister of Tourism, said at the press conference yesterday, adding
that Bar, Kotor and Tivat are not so visited this summer.
Nenezic says that this year’s peak summer season is extended and it is
already obvious that the postseason will be very successful.
“The data at our disposal confirm that the tourism season is extended
and there are more visitors than in this period previous year. The
season develops in accordance with our expectations when the tourism
offer, municipal and road infrastructure, water supply system, solid
waste and liquid waste are concerned. All these issues are less
prominent this summer-Nenezic said, adding that “sporadic problems
occur just as on any other tourism destination”.
“The maritime and road traffic safety is improved. Water supplying was
regular this summer in all tourism municipalities, and we expect the
completion of works on regional water supply system. No more praying
for rain since there will be enough water”-he said.
According to him occupancy rates will be satisfactory in September and October.
“We believe that the results will be on the same level as last year
when it comes to revenues and occupancy rates. When talking about
money, we believe that a planned half million euros will be collected
by the end of August”-Nenezic said.
In the Ministry of Tourism they are particularly satisfied with the
number of foreign arrivals in the Montenegrin mountains, which is
“better than ever”.
“These days the highest occupancy rates in last 15 years are
registered. It encourages us in the Government to create better
conditions for accommodating tourist in mountains and for the
sustainable development of tourism centers”-Nenezic said, adding that
Montenegro as a tourism destination is among” the best in the region
this year”.

In this Ministry they believe that the peak summer season is extending
since, even in the third week of August, a growth in turnover of 1-4%
