Several chief executive officers of well-known world
shipyards visited Montenegro in order to find out what are the
prospects of this tourism metropolis for further nautical development.
According to their opinion Budva is the only city in Montenegro with
prospects for fast development. The gathering of the yachting elite in
Budva was initiated by Lamberto Tacolli, the president of CRN and
co-owner of the entire Ferretti Group and one of the most influential
people in nautical world today, who was staying in Budva last year.
Budva:
It rarely happens that the chief executive officers and the owners of
several leading nautical brands and builders of luxury yachts gather at
one place, especially if that place is a newcomer to the nautical
world. This is exactly what happened in Budva yesterday.
Marko Segato, the CEO of the most exclusive, prestigious world builders
of sea beauties – the Ferretti Group, Paola Procolli, the CEO of the
nautical brand Riva, Tili Antonelli, the CEO of Pershing, Murko Matjar
and Stjepan Skocajic, the CEO and the owner of the company MennYacht,
which is the representative of the Ferretti Group for this part of
Europe, visited Budva in order to see what are the prospects of this
tourism metropolis for further nautical development.
Although it has not reached the level of other prestigious
Mediterranean nautical destinations, Budva is the only city in
Montenegro with prospects for fast development, according to the
opinion of this nautical elite which was gathered at a gala dinner in
one of the restaurants near Old Town.
- Besides those destinations that have become well-known, like Croatia
and Slovenia, the next destination of our clients is Montenegro for
sure. The Feretti has clients all around the world and we recommend
them where to go. So we are going to tell them to visit Budva and
Monenegro. Very important thing is that here exists the service for
such clients, they have access to everything they need and good
communication with town. For now, this is very well done by our
representative MennYacht, said Mako Segatto, the CEO of the Ferretti
Group to “Vijesti”.
He said that Budva is currently in the position to “achieve fast
development and reach the top or to stay on the existing level”.
- Everything depends on that how those additional amenities will
develop, such as hotels, infrastructure. But certainly, you are on the
good track to make Budva better than many other marinas in the
Mediterranean. As much as I could see, at the moment there is high-end
tourism in Budva, but mass tourism as well. For this reason you have to
choose what are you going to do, Segatto said, adding that prosperity
comes form the elite tourism.
- Stjepan Skocajic, the CEO of MennYacht, has confirmed that people
from here and from the region are very interested in buying yachts of
the Ferretti Group.
- Our clientele is reliable and high-yield. In spite of the world
economic crisis no bank has called us and no client has returned the
ship.
Unfortunately, that happened to many other brands. The Ferretti Group
Brands are definitely the most popular in Montenegro. That can be seen
here in Budva, where many our yachts are berthed, said Skocajic.
The gathering of the yachting elite in Budva was initiated by Lamberto
Tacolli, the president of CRN and co-owner of the entire Ferretti Group
and one of the most influential people in nautical world today, who was
staying in Budva last year.
On the recommendation of the current Deputy Prime Minister Svetozar
Marovic he opened representative office of this company in Budva. This
representation is the second in the world after Monaco. (Source, visit-montenegro.com)
